Mission Statement

The Department of Recreation Management and Youth Leadership serves students by providing a stimulating educational environment in the classroom and experiential education experience that is spiritually strengthening, intellectually enlarging, character building, leading to lifelong learning and service. This program also prepares students to improve the quality of lives through excellent recreation, youth and family programs. The Department prepares superior leaders capable of extending our influence in leisure, recreation and youth leadership. We also serve The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the worldwide community, and our profession.
